Kindly note that when you book with us, you are agreeing to the Villa Mtati Terms and Conditions. Please familiarise yourself with the content below that applies to your booking. All terms, policies, and indemnity clauses are deemed to be read and accepted by all guests in a group upon receipt of the villa Mtati keys.

Booking policy

All bookings must be paid in full within 24 hours after the booking. If payment has not been received, the booking will be canceled automatically.

The total amount is needed to confirm your booking. Bookings are only confirmed once you have received a confirmation email. No-show guests forfeit the full booking fee. Guests that leave early due to any circumstance will not be refunded.

All additional services, such as tours and special requests, are non-refundable.

Bookings can only be moved fourteen days before the arrival date. A ten percent administration fee will be charged when a booking gets moved. No credit will be given for bookings that have been transferred.

Cancelation of a booking is accepted thirty days before arrival. Fifty percent of the booking fee will be refunded upon cancelation of a booking. No refunds will be made if the booking occurs through an online service such as Booking.com. Cancelations must happen via email, and the email address must correspond with the email address from which the booking was made.

Check-in and out time

Villa Mtati’s check-in time is between 14:00 and 17:00. No check-ins before 14:00 are allowed.

Check-out time is strictly at or before 10:00 on the day of departure.

Guests must arrive before 17:00 to receive the host’s security gate code and villa keys. Guests should inform the villa Mtati concierge of their estimated arrival time at least three hours before checking in. Villa Mtati will not be held responsible for any inconveniences or difficulties guests experience due to road instruction.

General

Babies younger than three years are allowed at the villa under the supervision of their parents, free of charge. No pets are permitted at Villa Mtati. Guests are not allowed to feed monkeys that live in the forest around the villa.

Unauthorized persons or visitors are not allowed on the premises without prior consent by the villa concierge.

No smoking is allowed inside the villa; an ashtray should be used when smoking on the patios. Guests are expected to be sensitive so as not to cause fire hazards. Misuse of alcohol is prohibited. Guests must keep the area around the villa clean and free from litter. Villa Mtati reserves the right to ask guests to leave if they are behaving disruptively or violating the rules set out here. Any damage caused by guests to property and premises due to bad behaviour, carelessness, or lost keys will be for the guest’s account. All vehicles are parked on the villa premises at their own risk in the designated parking areas.

Indemnity

By receiving the villa keys, guests confirm that they have read the Villa Mtati Terms and Conditions, and all guests agree to the Liability Policy.Parents or legal guardians of children attending the villa take full responsibility for minors regarding the risks and liabilities set out in this policy.

All guests visit Villa Mtati, make use of the facilities, and partake in activities at at their own risk. The villa, its owners, employees, facilitators, co-workers, directors, or agents shall not be responsible for any liabilities, damages, claims, injury, or death of any person or the loss, destruction, or damage to any property upon the premises, whether arising from fire, theft or any cause and by whomsoever caused or arising from the negligence (gross or otherwise) or wrongful act of any person in the management and employment of the establishment.

Guests confirm that they understand the risks involved in using the facilities and activities such as walking, hiking, swimming, using the sauna, using boats or canoes, or partaking in other activities.

The villa and its team take no responsibility for people falling, slipping on wet floors, drowning, car or boat accidents, getting bitten by snakes or insects, food poisoning, reaction to ingredients, sunburn, or any other injury in and around the villa. Villa Mtati facilitates activities and tours, and employees involved are not necessarily trained or registered as tour guides, as defined by the SA Tourism Act No. 72 of 1993. They are only accompanying guests to provide support and comfort. They or the establishment will not be held liable or responsible for any injury or loss incurred by a guest in any way while doing the activity or tour. South African law applies to this Risk and Liability Policy.

Personal Information

Villa Mtati operates in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act) to protect your personal information disclosed to us for booking and operational purposes. The names, contact details, and personal details of villa guests will not be shared with third parties or used for any purpose other than contact or relationship building.

The villa will not be held liable for unauthorized parties that obtain our personal information due to criminal acts, such as hacking our online booking system.

The villa will, on an ongoing basis, review our security and risk management controls and related processes to ensure that guests’ personal information remains secure.

The Villa Mtati Terms and Conditions are subject to change and can be changed anytime without prior notice.
